Twisted Sister slot from Play’n Go

Major content provider Play’n Go released another title to join their extensive collection of slot games. Twisted Sister is a long-awaited slot that is based around the American rock band of the same name.

Twisted Sister was a heavy metal band that was big in the 80s, with hits such as I Wanna Rock and We’re Not Gonna Take It.

This slot game is themed around these two hit songs, so grab your microphone and guitar and get rocking!

Stay Hungry

Twisted Sister has a strong story running through the game, with plenty of references to the hit band.

The game uses a 6×6 cascading grid slot format and features cluster pays. As a result, this is a unique slot game that offers lots of exciting bonus rounds and special symbols!

All the band members are reunited on the Twisted Sister reels- Dee Snider, Jay Jay French, Eddie “Fingers” Ojeda, Mark “The Animal” Mendoza and Anthony “A. J.” Pero. They are joined by some much sought-after band merchandise including an LP, a badge, and a record sleeve.

Just to confirm how exciting Twisted Sister slot is, there are TWO Wild symbols! There is a standard Wild that will not only substitute for any other symbol, but will also add up to activate the We’re Not Gonna Take It bonus feature.

The second Wild is a Wild Scatter in the form of Angry Dad. If you are a fan of the band, you will recognise the character from their videos, played by Mark Metcalf.

Ramp up the volume

As you play Twisted Sister, you will see a power meter by the side of the reels. Any band member symbols will charge up the meter, and every five symbols a random feature will activate at the end of the spin! For each feature, a band member is chosen as the trigger symbol.

The features you could activate include:

  • Scream- where the chosen band member will “scream”, releasing a soundwave that will destroy any surrounding band merch symbols. Cascading reels will fill the space, giving the opportunity to grab more winning combinations.
  • Go Wild- where the chosen band member will act as a Wild
  • Unite- all band members will change into the same symbols
  • Dad Get’s Angry- 2 Wild Scatters appear on the grid during a non-winning spin

We’re Not Gonna Take It is a special bonus round available to players! Collecting four Wild Scatters will trigger this free round, and collecting any more will increase your win multiplier. Once you trigger the feature, a 2×2 Mega Symbol will appear that creates winning combinations alongside any bandmate. The symbol will work its way across the reels to all the Wild Scatters until there are none left, with cascading reels filling the spaces that the Mega Symbol leaves behind.

Play’n Go CPO, Martin Zettergren, says about Twisted Sister:

“Their distinctive style of music has allowed us to create a game with innovative features, meaning it will appeal to fans of quality slot entertainment, as well as fans of the band, there’s something for everyone.”

One of many releases

Twisted Sister is the latest in a line of new Play’n Go slot releases. It follows on from games like Rich Wilde and the Shield of Athena, Charlie Chance in Hell to Pay, Agent Destiny, Annihilator, and Ring of Odin.

The game mechanics are a little more complex than some other slot games as there are many different features and it doesn’t follow the usual payline format. However, this makes for an innovative and exciting game that players are unlikely to forget!
