WildPops – a new slot game from Yggdrasil

In partnership with YG Masters studio AvatarUX, Yggdrasil has launched a new slot game called WildPops.

This is a fun slot that uses AvatarUX’s innovative PopWins mechanic- where winning symbols “pop” and disappear, getting replaced by two new symbols. The great thing about this mechanic is that it can continue to expand for every cascading win on just one spin, offering players fantastic opportunities to grab some wins! This happens until you get a non-winning spin.

Because of this, there is no fixed layout and the symbols can move about the screen freely.

Go Wild for WildPops

But something that makes this PopWins mechanic extra special is the fact that on every 7th “pop”, a multiplier will be added. So, if the symbols continue popping and the reels carry on growing, one spin can result in big wins.

If a player gets three wins in a row, they will trigger two random Wilds.

Sometimes players may get really lucky and expand their reels to seven columns. If this happens, they will activate the bonus round and receive three lives.

So, instead of a non-winning spin ending the round and the multiplier, players would use an extra life and continue from where they left off. They will get a respin with the same multiplier remaining on the reels.

WildPops is a “win both ways” game which gives players a massive 33,614 ways to win! It has an RTp of 96.2%

“fun-filled new addition”

Stuart McCarthy, Head of Partner Strategy and Sourcing at Yggdrasil, said of the game:

“WildPops is a fun-filled new addition to the Yggdrasil slot offering and will appeal to a wide demographic of players.

“Our YG Masters studios continue to push the boundaries of innovation and AvatarUX is no different with its fascinating graphics and thrilling PopWins™ mechanic which has proven very popular with players.”

Meanwhile, Marcus Honney, Managing Director at AvatarUX, said:

“Our latest PopWins game contains all the thrilling excitement of our feature mechanic with a fun theme and massive win potential. Any spin can get the Popping started and give players thrilling experiences.

“Our partnership with Yggdrasil continues to go from strength to strength and we look forward to it growing for many years.”

The studios behind the game

Yggdrasil is a top online gaming studio that provides for a host of iGaming operators. It launched in 2013 and over the years Yggdrasil has firmly established itself as one of the most respected and popular content provider. In 2018 it founded YG Masters. This is a programme that enables independent studios to collaborate with Yggdrasil and develop content on Yggdrasil’s platform.

The other partner behind WildPops is AvatarUX, an original studio partner of YG Masters. WildPops is AvatarUX’s third title that they have launched through the YG Masters partnership, following in the footprints of PopRocks and Lilith’s Inferno.
